It was a scorching hot weekend in London and so the celebrities had their summer outfits on, even when performing at a charity ball. As they arrived at the Royal Albert Hall for the Rays of Sunshine charity gig, Una Healy and Mollie King from The Saturdays looked tanned and gorgeous. Una arrived in a peachy playsuit while Mollie turned up in an on trend printed skirt. Later on, they swapped into dresses as they were the first act on after the interval and blew away the crowd with several of their songs, including their latest hit Gentlemen.
Rays of Sunshine is a charity that makes sick children’s dreams come true, whether it be being a fireman for a day, a meet and greet with their favourite band or a trip to Disneyland. JLS are one of the biggest supporters of the charity and they closed the gig, bringing the crowd to their feet and literally screaming. Olly Murs got a good reception for his set, especially when he was joined by one of the sick children, 11-year-old Samuel, for Dance With You Tonight. But the surprise hit of the night was Britain’s Got Talent act Luminites. Steph Edwards looked absoultely radiant in a white dress.
The event showed how amazing it can be when several acts get together for a common cause. It’s only going to get better next weekend as it’s the Wireless Festival in London’s Stratford with tons of acts from Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake to Snoop Dogg. I’ll bring you all the goss about what goes on and what everyone’s wearing to the Very blog.
