Pixie Geldof, model and DJ Bip Ling, TV presenters George Lamb and Rick Edwards and model Saffron Aldridge all turned up to the ballroom of London’s Claridges Hotel to celebrate 25 years in business of the hairdresser John Frieda and the theme was urban chic. It was a fantastic opportunity to see what the stars were wearing and to get some gossip. Coming up to Christmas, all of the celebs are doing more than ever and I actually feel lazy in comparison!
Below I’ve rounded up the best snippets I got from the night. Let’s start with Pixie Geldof:
Pixie, the third child of Bob Geldof, revealed she had not one but two massive projects in the pipeline. Firstly with music as she’s in a band called Violet and she wants to record some songs to release an album. Secondly, she said she loves fashion so much she wants her own clothing label. She wants it to be half work clothes and half play clothes with the outfit she was wearing above the play variety. I think the long coat is work and play though – you need that in your life in Autumn. I also loved her gold necklace, but she said she’s working on fashion first then jewellery. That’s sensible.
Meanwhile, Bip Ling was DJing at the party:
I had headphone envy when I saw her behind the DJ decks. There are so many cool colours of headphones now, you can actually pick the colour to match your outfit. The purple ones above are by Skullcandy but I know Beats by Dre come in some fab colours including my fave colour – pink! Bip told me that she was serious about music but felt people underestimated her because she was a model. Like Pixie she also has musical ambitions of doing a single and album, mainly to prove her critics wrong. Girl power!
And finally, George Lamb was looking as handsome as ever:
George is also into his music – there seems to be a running theme here – but for now his passion is in talking about it rather than making it. He’s a presenter on BBC 6 music. Does he want Top Of The Pops to come back? Of course and he’d like to be in the running to host it too. You never know!
It was great to see a few celebs in one place; it really feels like the celebrity party season has started. Yes, it’s a while to Christmas but the stars always start early…and I’m excited about the coming months.
