Miss Plus Size International – A Very good opportunity!

After successfully beating off competition from 1,100 other women from around the world to reach the finals of the Miss Plus Size International competition, I was overjoyed to be offered sponsorship from the So Fabulous! range at Very.

I have always been an avid shopper, and as a plus size women it’s something I’ve had to be very vigilant about. Finding the right cut and shape, along with length (I’m 5’10’’) has always been a nightmare.

When looking through this seasons Very catalogue to put together an outfit for the competitions finals I stumbled upon the blue Twist Jersey Dress from the Holly Willoughby collection. The ruching detail along the waist is very flattering, and the style of the bust means it will cater for both a small and ample chest! The length is great, short enough to be fun but long enough to be classy, and it can be teamed with a smart jacket for work, add statement jewellery and it’s the perfect dress for a night out.

I paired it with the wear your own bra control slip for a recent photoshoot and felt supported, confident and sexy (even running around with all those balloons!).

The team at So Fabulous! have put together a gorgeously flattering and sparkly outfit for my casual wear catwalk at this Saturday’s finals which I will share with you in my next blog post. It’s just perfect for day to night, especially with the upcoming festivities.

If you haven’t heard about the Miss Plus Size compeition before please check out the website. It’s changed my life and given me a renewed sense of confidence and appreciation for my body! It was also on BBC3 last year, and you can watch the documentary online. Applications for next year’s competition will open after this years competition hits TV screens in December, so what have you got to lose? Go for it!

Wish me luck!
