It’s time to whip out the tinsel and dust off those baubles, but before you go to town on your Christmas tree, why not have a look at other ways you can decorate your home this Christmas?
At Very HQ, we’re going all Nordic this festive season with cute knits (for the home as well as ourselves!), natural wood, reindeer and Gonks (yes, Gonks). Check out our amazing video above for some inspiration while I talk you through some Christmas decorations you may not have thought of.
We certainly have some more traditional pieces, with snowman and Santa stockings perfect for hanging on the fireplace, cute bootie tealight holders to light up those cold, dark evenings and even a Scandinavian patterned Christmas sack and stocking set for piling those presents into! But these really come into their own combined with some of our other gorgeous Nordic trend items.
Maybe you wouldn’t always think to decorate your sofa (yes, we know it sounds a bit crazy) but you’ll wonder why not when you see some of our cosy Christmas cushions. This festive one will have you snuggling up in your onesie in front of your favourite Christmas film in no time, while you can match the bauble cushion to the decorations on your tree! Or get Nordic slap bang on-trend with the stag cushion that could even stay out after Christmas.
Speaking of decorations that could be used once the festive season is over, this knitted pouffe is a great addition to any living room, but looks extra fab at Christmas as it really ups the snuggle factor. Same goes for the stunning stag wall art which will look amazing at any time of year, but especially with some fairy lights draped over it for seasonal sparkle!
But the true attractions this Christmas are the stars of our video, the Gonks. Just like your favourite man in a Christmas jumper they’re gorgeous, a bit hairy and very festive – but they can also double as a doorstop which is more than we can say about him! Whether you go for medium spotty, small stripey, small spotty or all three (you know you want to!) they’ll add a bit of festive magic to your home.
So don’t just stop at a tree and some tinsel this year – turn your whole home into a stylish winter wonderland!
