#BringTheColour with our latest tech gadgets!

Spring has sprung and we FINALLY have more than 12 hours daylight again! What do we do here at Very HQ? Brighten up our lives with a splash of colour of course! Now, being the resident geek, one of the first things I think about is new gadgets!

Whether you’re a fan of the bright, breezy colours, or you prefer the darker tones, we’ve got it covered.

So let’s start with Lenovo, they have a great range of convertible, touch screen laptops, so you not only get all the power of a laptop, but you also get the functionality and ease of use of a tablet all in one. We’ve got it in a range of colours, like the Lenovo Flex 14 in Yellow, which has a 500gb* Hard Drive…so there’s PLENTY of space for all your photos, music and phone backups. There’s also a 14″ screen so you can surf, shop and read all the latest goss without having to squint!

*Just for a reference point, 1GB will save up to 150 songs and 1000 pictures, depending on the quality. So our 500gb laptops and tablets will hold up to 75,000 songs and 500,000 images, less depending on the kind of programs and applications you also have installed.

Flex 14 Yellow Convertible Laptop - Yellow

If you’re thinking pink than Asus have what you’re after – first off we have the Asus X102 10.1″, 500gb touch-screen laptop. This one is only pink on the back, so if you need no distractions when you’re working then this one is perfect! If you’re looking for pink all over however, we have the Asus X502 15.6″, 500gb model that might tickle your fancy. This one isn’t touch-screen like the other model, but we’re sure the bigger screen and being nice and bright all over will make up for that!

Like we said, it’s not all about the bright colours. If you want to move away from the standard black or silver laptops we have some great red models. The Lenovo Flex 14 pictured above is available in red, again with a 14″ screen and 500gb Hard Drive. If you prefer your laptop to be just a laptop and not a tablet too, we’ve got this Acer E1-570 15.6″ model that might catch your eye. This one has a huge 1TB Hard Drive though, so will store double the amount any of our 500gb models hold. As with all the models mentioned up to now, this model is Wi-Fi so has all the connectivity you’ll need (no unsightly internet cables being dragged through the house!).

Acer E1-570 Intel Core 15.6 inch Laptop - Red

Some people may prefer their laptops to be laptops, and their tablets to be tablets, so the Lenovo Flex range may not cover your needs. Luckily, we’ve got a great range of tablets too, so don’t worry, we’ll guide you through a few of our choices! Lenovo seem to be as excited about spring as we are, so have a couple of the IdeaTab A1000L with a 7″ screen and an 8gb Hard Drive. This tablet come in black, but it has several options, with a free blue, pink, black or white case.

If the cases with that tablet don’t do it for you, we have a great range of cases here, and we’ll be shouting about a few of our favourites next time round. In the meantime, if you still want to brighten up your tablet, we have this Asus MeMO Pad with a 10″ screen and a 16gb Hard Drive in Pink. With the 16gb Hard Drive you’ll have plenty of space for any apps and music you need on the go, along with any pictures you might be taking.

Asus MeMO Pad HD 10 inch Tablet - Cherry Pink

So we’ve managed to #BringTheColour with our laptops and tablets. Next time around we’ll be talking about our range of accessories, from laptop bags, to tablet cases and even USB sticks! We’ve got colours for almost everything! Until next time people!

Bye For Now,

#BringTheColour Make Up Trends

The sun is shining, the days are getting longer and spring has (sort of) sprung. With this comes some lovely new beauty trends to get you feeling fabulous! So what does S/S14 have in store? And more importantly, what tools do you need to rock the look?

Pucker Up

The must have hue for the perfect pout this season is a bright orange shade, with everyone from Drew Barrymore to Kate Bosworth trying out the look on the red carpet. Paired with a slick of mascara and a flawless complexion it gives an instant burst of summer style. This Illamasqua Lipstick – Flare has a gorgeous, mouthwatering orange tone and a striking matte finish, but if the thought of taking the tangerine plunge after months of winter wear is a little too scary fear not, because Bourjois has you covered. Their Colour Boost and Effect 3D glosses both have a sleek shiny finish with a warm hint of orange for an on trend touch.

Eyes On The Prize

Eyeshadows have followed suit on the bright and bold front, with gorgeous blues and pale aqua hues. Blue isn’t the easiest eyeshadow to wear – who doesn’t dread looking like an 80s reject?! – but these NYX Collection Stick Shadows are perfect for giving you total control. If you’re still not quite ready for the full effect, try using it as a liner – go bold with a thick cats eye or do discreet with a thin line under your bottom lashes. Rule number one though, always pair bright shadows with nude lips to avoid looking like you’ve raided your mum’s make up bag.

Pastel tones are everywhere for S/S14 and eyes are no exception. Pale green was the stand out shade, and this Illamasqua Pure Pigment has a subtle shimmer so you can rock the metallic trend too – metallics aren’t just for Christmas you know! Wear it lightly brushed across the eyelid and team with rosy cheeks and a barely-there pink lipgloss to complete the look.

The monochrome trend is also huge for S/S14 and unsurprisingly the make up world has got on board. If you’re a big fan of the vintage flick this means you’re in luck, because angled eyeliner is here to stay. Try teaming it with white liner on the inner eye for a contemporary, wide eyed look. Barry M also has an awesome metallic black liquid liner for an edgy feel.

Complexion Perfection

Every girl needs the make up bag must haves to get a flawless complexion, and this season is all about keeping it fresh and natural – perfect for a laid back summer look. A good primer is a must for creating the perfect base, helping to smooth out dry patches and create an even complexion. CC cream, a step up from BB cream, is also vital for the warmer months. It’s light enough to wear all day long, with a touch of colour to give your skin a gorgeous glow. It also boasts SPF to protect form harmful rays. The CC eye cream even has colour correct to hide any evidence of those late nights and early mornings.

            And of course…

Every girl needs a good, clump free and long lasting mascara as it’s a fail safe for instantly brightening up your peepers, while a lip balm is a must for keeping those lips silky soft. This Berts Bees lip balm also has a slight shimmer for a pretty pout.

That’s my round up of the top beauty trends this summer to ensure you can stay stylish, feel fabulous and enjoy the sunshine! Love Aimee x

Music And Fashion Winners At The NME Awards

The NME Awards is one of the wildest nights in the music industry calendar and the 2014 awards were just as crazy as ever. The Brit Awards are sedate in comparison, mainly because the NME awards are not on TV so the stars can really let their hair down and party! It’s held at the O2 Academy in London’s Brixton and everyone sits at tables, where the drinks are in full-flow. It’s 100% rock and roll!

The awards honour unique, independent music and the fashion worn by the cool guests is just as diverse as the music itself. There was colour (ie Lily Allen), there was black (ie Abbey Clancey) and there was in-between (ie Laura Whitmore). Before I get into the full list of winners, let me explain why these three ladies rocked during the party.

Lily Allen

Lily wowed in pink at the Brit Awards with yellow hair but she went for a complete stripe theme at the NME awards, which really got everyone’s attention. Orange and black was the theme of her dress and hair and there was a very colourful stripey faux fur coat. Lily is not just back on the pop scene, she is better than ever before. She looks better after having two kids than when she was on the pop scene the first time round. She wasn’t even drinking that much, but she was mingling to the max. Hopefully she’ll collborate with some indie stars soon after hobnobbing with everyone at the awards. Watch this space!

Laura Whitmore

Laura always stands out from the crowd and the NME awards was no exception as she was the only star in a grey dress. For MTV, she’s used to hanging out with the band and so she was in her element at the awards party catching up with all her mates. She’s so well-connected! And guess what, there are bigger music shows in the pipeline for her. All will be revealed in the summer.

Abbey Clancy

After wowing the judges on Strictly Come Dancing with her beautiful ballroom dancing, Abbey showed she was still a cool rock chick at heart as she presented an award. I loved how she wore red shoes with a black dress to shake the look up a bit. Sadly she didn’t stay that long as she had to get back for babysitters but it’s still cool she made the effort to do something that’s a bit different to her squeaky clean Strictly image.

I was also very impressed by Debbie Harry, who won the Godlike Genius award (ie legend award). Her band Blondie have now been together for 40 years but does she look old enough for that? I don’t think so!

The winners are:

Godlike genius Blondie

Songwriters’ songwriter Paul McCartney

#BringTheColour Hair Accessories

Whether you’ve decided to take the pastel plunge or not, you can still bring plenty of colour into your hair care routine. With so many beautiful and brightly coloured electricals and accessories on offer it would be rude not to – plus they’re the perfect pick me up for those early morning blues!
If you’re a fan of super sleek tresses then you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to colourful accessories. This ghd straightener has a gorgeous sapphire finish, along with advanced ceramic heat to give you frizz free locks in double quick time. Ghd also have this beautiful violet straightener, with a pretty pastel finish that is perfectly on trend.

For anyone who’s rocking a bob or a shorter do, then this BaByliss Nano is ideal. Small and slim it’s also great for giving your fringe the once over, with a bright pink hue to add an instant colour pop to your dressing table. BaByliss even have a matching pink hairdryer, ensuring you can get a beautiful blow dry and really add some colour to your morning routine.

Adding a colour pop can be perfectly practical too, like this colour change mat from Wahl. This bright pink heat protection mat will keep your dresser mark and scuff free, while also showing you when your appliances are still hot to stop you from singeing your fingertips!

As a huge fan of volume, I had to include these awesome pink rollers. They have a wicked retro feel and are comfortable enough to sleep in too, so you can wake up to big, beautiful hair.

When it comes to colourful accessories Lee Stafford certainly knows what he’s doing. His range comes in gorgeous hot pink colours – think girly with attitude – and I especially love this big hair set. It comes with everything you need to create some serious lift, along with a cute storage box to keep it all neat and tidy.

Bright colours and gorgeous locks all in one? Sounds like the perfect partnership to me! Love Aimee x

Celebrity Style: Dazzling Red Carpet Colour

Slowly but surely, the monochrome and black and white Winter outfits are being replaced by bold, vibrant and uplifting Spring colours. At the major award ceremonies, the stars that attracted the most attention on the red carpet were killing it in dresses that were bright and visually powerful. From Lily Allen in pink at the Brits and Rita Ora in gorgeous yellow, to Naomie Harris looking stunning in pink at the BAFTAs, our most talented female celebs are making a style statement – Let’s Choose Colour over Black!

The celebrity movement seems to have come at the exact time that Very launched its Colour TV advert, so I headed straight to that section to see whether I could follow in the starry footsteps of Lily and Rita and Naomie.

Check out what I found – I adore the hot Definitions Wrap Front Dress. I thought it was my favourite until I saw the bright red Definitions zip detail bodycon dress. Taking inspiration from Rita Ora, I’m even inclined to try the Definitions One Shoulder Asymmetric Top and the Definitions long panelled maxi skirt

Oh, and have you seen the Fearne Cotton Amelia lace up cut out sandals ? No matter what you’re wearing, you need these in your life? Clashing colours are so on trend!

Just looking at these outfits cheers me up…I can’t wait to actually wear them! Are you ready to  add some colour to your wardrobe? Look at how the celebs did it and have a go and you might be surprised by the results.

Very’s Top 5 Films Set in Paris

As Fashion Week gets ready for its last tango in Paris, we’re Frenching it up on the blog with our top five film picks set in the style capital. Expect stripes, expect Bardot, expect Tautou!

1. Amélie

Starring: Audrey Tautou, Mathieu Kassovitz.

Bathed in gorgeous green and yellow tints, this candy-coloured art-cinema flick stars the gorgeous Audrey Tautou as Amélie, a naive gal with a repressed childhood who retreats to a whimsical dream world to try and see beauty in life’s little things. After doing a good deed and feeling inspired, she devotes her life to the providing happiness to her fellow Parisians, but soon realises in doing so she’s forgetting what truly makes her smile.

It’s practically impossible not to fall for this heartwarming tale of love, and it’s even harder not to covet her wardrobe of polka dot dresses, clunky footwear and oversized knits. Spoiler: you will want to cut your hair into a little beatnik fringe!

2. Breathless (À bout de souffle)

Starring: Jean Seberg, Jean-Paul Belmondo.

The sixties, a frassy pixie crop and Parisian streets – these are a few of our favourite things! Cut to Breathless, the Jean-Luc Godard flick from 1960 that’ll notch Jean Seberg up there with your all-time style icons.

This French New Wave front-runner tells the love story of Michel (Belmondo), a petty criminal slash Bogart wannabe and Patricia (Seberg), an aspiring journo who gets mixed-up trying to protect her man. Cue visually stunning scenes in high contrast monochrome and mais oui there’s some seriously cool costume moments to match! Spot (and want) the effortless dresses, sailor girl stripes and major hat moments that perfectly pair Michel’s Humphrey-esque suits. Take this as cinematic evidence; when in Paris…wear Breton!

3. Midnight in Paris

Starring: Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard.

“That Paris exists and anyone could choose to live anywhere else in the world will always be a mystery to me.”

– Adriana, Midnight in Paris.

What were we saying about le français fashion capital and the sixties? Woody Allen almost trumps it with this cinematic love letter to 1920s Paris – ahh, j’adore!

Indulge in a little pastel-tinted nostalgia with this time travel film (stay with us!) that centres around  a struggling writer who gets transported back to the Jazz Age to help him write. There’s Dali and Hemingway, there’s F.Scott Fitzgerald and his flapper girls, there’s Owen Wilson’s nose! Basically, an Allen script playing host to a roar of drop-waist frocks and cocktail hour beading is not to be missed – so if you’re thinking of trying out the twenties trend take a break from The Great Gatsby and watch this instead.

4. A Very Private Affair (Vie Privée)

Starring: Brigitte Bardot, Marcello Mastroianni.

Three words: Brigitte. Bardot. Beehive!

Playing a movie star hiding from persistent fans (basically, herself), Bardot embarks on an affair with an older man – making denima straw coloured hat and a guy’s shirt look oh-so sexy in the meantime. In fact, she even makes a bicycle hot – ooh la la! Her classic tousled locks and doe eyed liner remain just as relevant and stylish today, with everyone from Suki Waterhouse to Millie Mackintosh rocking the look. In fact, we challenge you to watch this film and not reach for your favourite pair of Levis, go on!

5. Funny Face

Starring: Audrey Hepburn, Fred Astaire.

“Paris is always a good idea.”

– Audrey Hepburn.

A shy bookish type turns fashion model in this 1957 film starring one of Hollywood’s most iconic leading ladies. It wasn’t just Breakfast at Tiffany’s that had it’s Hepburn fashion moment, Funny Face came through with iconic Audrey in timeless pieces like the Parisian trench, the roll neck sweater and some tres chic black skinnies! The photo shoot scenes throughout Paris could stand alone and dare we say it, Audrey is at her most stylish in Givenchy garments that still fall copycat today. Watch this one for ’50s frolicks, kooky dance scenes and a beautiful ending.

And there you have it – our top movie picks from Paris with love x

#BringTheColour in to your home!

Imagine the scene: It’s dull and grey out and you get home from work more than a little bit cold. You head into your plain kitchen to make your dinner and wait for the microwave to go “ping” before eating some beige pasta out of a black tray. Sound familiar?

At Very HQ, we know we can’t do anything about the weather (we’re working on it!) but we can help you bring the colour to your kitchen so you can liven up meal times, so take a peek at my 6 top suggestions!

1. Pans are key. Whether cooking a cheeky fry up or a tasty spag bol, we can’t do without them. But forget boring black or stuffy stainless steel, check out this amazing yellow 5-piece pan set from Morphy Richards! It comes in loads of other fab colours too!

2. A good set of kitchen knives is essential for chopping veg or adding vivid green herbs to your dinner. This colourful Sabichi knife block will do all that and look amazing on your worktop.

3. If you like your food quick and easy, a wok is a must. Tasty stir fries take minutes to cook and they’re healthy and colourful too. This 11.5 inch wok from Typhoon comes with a free mini-wok and it’s available in 3 gorgeous jewel colours.

4. Speaking of healthy food, griddles cook meat and fish beautifully while letting any fat drain off. This cast iron griddle by Denby comes in a choice of 4 colours and features a pouring spout to drain off any fat – perfect!

5. If you enjoy your casseroles with loads of bright veg and a rich sauce then you need a good casserole dish. Le Creuset are the kings of this and their stoneware casserole dish is a stunningly gorgeous way to cook. Love that volcanic orange!

6. Perhaps you’re braver than I am and you want to tackle that holy grail of cooking: the Sunday roast. If that’s the case, don’t even begin without this roaster from Prestige. It’s ideal and it’s teal – no bland colours in sight!

So decide what type of cook you are, and add some colour (and practicality!) to your kitchen!

Love Sarah x

#BringTheColour Pastel Hair

From the likes of Kelly Osbourne and Katy Perry, through to Alexa Chung and our very own Fearne, it seems everyone is rocking the pastel hair trend. And why wouldn’t they?! Think soft candy floss, pretty peaches and lilac touches and you’ve got the idea – it’s a fun way to add instant colour to your look for spring/summer without being totally overwhelmed.

These new L’Oreal Feria Pastels are perfect for tinting your locks at home and with peach punch, lilac lavender and pink panther on offer you can pick the shade to perfectly match your style. Specially designed for bleached, highlighted or blonde-coloured hair, they last up to five washes so you can change your shade and try new looks to make sure you never get bored! Mix it up with a dip dye or go for an all over tone to really rock the look.

Another plus is that unlike other dyes, pastel toners can be applied to clean wet hair and there’s no mixing involved (read: less chance of it going everywhere!)

Tips For The Perfect Pastel Finish

The L’Oreal Feria Pastels are toners rather than dye, and they tend to stick better to bleached hair so always do a strand test (this is also advisable to check for any allergic reactions).

If you’ve recently bleached your locks then cut the time you leave it on in half, just to make sure you get a pastel hue and not a solid colour.

The dye works best on clean hair, so wash it thoroughly and use a pre-colour or an anti-dandruff shampoo (no really!) for the best results.

The tone of your hair will really affect the outcome. The whiter your locks, the more pastel the colour will look. For darker shades it will add a subtle tint but could also have little effect, so again do a strand test to check you’re happy with the results.

Rock the shower cap look while you wait for it to take effect. It may not look cool, but this way you won’t ruin your clothes!

Style It Up

Fishtail plaits look great with pastel hair, as they show off all the different shades – perfect if you’ve opted for the dip dye look. A braid across the front of your hair is a cute way to style this trend for a summer festival vibe.

Sleek and straight is another brilliant way to show off the different pastel shades. It gives the look a sophisticated feel with plenty of personality. Get the perfect products here.

Tousled hair is a more rock chick style to pair with your pastel hue. Whether you’ve gone for a girly pink or a lilac tone, this style will give it a great grunge vibe. Mix waves, crimps and curls for the full effect. Another plus? You don’t have to stress about the wind ruining your look!

A vintage do as favoured by Miss Kelly O is a great idea as the pretty pastel gives classic styles an instant update. The Hollywood starlet waves are ideal – think Veronica Lake for a sleek look or the iconic Marilyn Monroe for a softer finish.

Try a dipped tie dye for a real stand out take on the pastel trend. Blend different shades into the bottom of your hair and add a soft wave for instant summer style.

And don’t forget to bring to colour and send us some pictures of your new pastel locks! Love Aimee x

Mark Wright wears Goodsouls from Very to the Brit Awards 2014

Last night original The Only Way is Essex hottie Mark Wright took to the Brit Awards 2014 red carpet looking dapper in a suit jacket from his very own range at

Known for his suave and sophisticated sense of style, a suit jacket from his Goodsouls range was the obvious choice for Mark who has previously said of his range: “‘Everyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love fashion. I can’t wait to see the reaction to the clothes.”

Well, if your reaction (like ours) is ‘get my bloke in that outfit, pronto‘, you’re in luck because you can nab his jacket from Very for just £79.

The Goodsouls Mens Oxford Jacket is smart and fashionable, with a slim silhouette.

Mark’s also got a selection of shirts available at Very!

Mark, if they’d been giving out an award for hottest male guest you would definitely have won it, we can only say it’s was a lucky crowd who got to party with you at the Brit Awards 2014 last night!

World Book Day is almost here!

I’m SO excited that World Book day is just around the corner! I’m such a bookworm myself – since I was a kid I have always loved the feeling of getting lost in the magic of a book – from Enid Blyton, Helen Fielding to Stephenie Mayer whether on an adventure with your friends in Kirrin Bay, Mad About the boy, or love a Vampire love triangle there is something for you to get captivated by! My fave as a child was definitely Roald Dahl’s Matilda I mean who wasn’t scared of Miss Trunchbull (although she did put the hair bun back on the map!) – I admit I read it until the pages were falling out and my mum even had to tape it back together! It still holds pride of place on my bookshelf today.

World Book Day has now been going for 17 years and this year it’s taking place on 6th March. It seems to be getting bigger and better each year with more and more schools and adults all over the country taking part. It’s become so big that children all across the country are being encouraged to read and dress up as their favourite literary character – from “The hungry caterpillar” to “Harry Potter’s” Hermione Granger  – everyone is getting involved…pity we can’t get our hands on Crookshanks! Last year my Facebook page was inundated with lots of my friend showing off their child’s awesome costumes in a variety of funny poses, I can’t wait to see what this years costumes will be like (queue the Minions!).

So if you’re a little unsure about what to get your little one for World Book then look no further. We have a super cute range of children’s fancy dress everything from your Super Heroes and Disney Princesses to Robin Hood and Monsters High – we can’t forget the classics, who wouldn’t want a cute little Jedi running around!

There’s definitely something for every personality and to celebrate here at Very we’ve a 3 for 2 on selected children’s books!

Have you decided what will you be sending your little monster to school as for World Book Day?

Gossip, Gowns And Playsuits At The Brits 2014

Just days after The BAFTA Awards where the film world’s A’list walked the red carpet it was time for the Brits, and music icons from all over the world came to London for it. International  pop stars like Beyonce, Katy Perry and Pharrell performed and everyone made a real effort with their red carpet costumes. In fact, I’d say people made more of an effort than the BAFTAs as it was an opportunity to show off their individuality. This meant there were trouser based outfits (ie Nicole Scherzinger), short dresses (ie Rosie Huntington-Whitely), maxi dresses (ie Lily Allen) and playsuits (ie Kate Moss).

Here’s a selection of my personal top along with a bit of gossip about each star that I got on the night from my spot on the red carpet with other journalists and bloggers. As Arctic Monkey Alex Turner said in his Best Album acceptance speech, ‘Rock and Roll will never die’!

Lily Allen

Lily presented British Group to Arctic Monkeys and I personally think she upstaged them with her shocking canary yellow hair and long dress. However, it did seem she was nervous on stage as she wasn’t sure whether to announce the band first or read out the list of nominees. She’s only just getting back to work after having two kids, so she told me she was ‘taking things slow.’ I’m not sure if I believe her though – with her experience in the industry she’ll be back to full power by the Summer, I’m sure of it.

Kimberley Walsh

Kimberley, whose clothes designs are available at Very, showed exactly why she was able to make the transition from pop to music – she looked stunning on the red carpet. It was  a hard dress to wear – some might have looked bridal in it – but Kimberley looked sweet and girly in her white maxi dress. However, she said she’s single! Her boyfriend Justin Scott needs to Put A Ring On It!

Nicole Scherzinger

It was Nicole’s first public appearance since announcing she was leaving The X Factor and boy did she look fierce. On the red carpet she spoke about ‘girl power’ telling us that she was ‘super proud’ of everything she’d done on X Factor, especially having her acts James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas battling it out in the final in her first year as a judge. She’s still in touch with all her acts but, in her words,  wants to ‘get back to the floor’. I admire her drive to follow her passion just as much as I admire her for wearing smart trousers and a blazer on the red carpet.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley

The gorgeous British model said she was ‘petrified’ about getting on stage at The O2 when she walked the red carpet in a red dress that showed off her trademark long legs. Although she took part in The Olympics she never had to say anything. Wisely she kept her speech short and sweet as she presented One Direction with Global Success award. The lucky 1D boys all got a kiss from her but she is still very much with Jason Statham, which anyone can tell if they look at her Instagram. Talk about loved up!

Rita Ora

This has to be my favourite dress of the night. With it’s plunging neckline showing off her cleavage and drop back, it’s little wonder her boyfriend Calvin Harris wanted to walk with her on the red carpet to keep an eye on her. She wasn’t nominated for anything but this yellow dress is a real winner – I bet all the other pop stars were really jealous. Rita’s got a part in the new 50 Shades of Grey movie so she’ll be swapping the Brits for The Oscars before we know it. I love seeing a British star do well, don’t you?

Kate Moss

I know I said top 5 moments, but I couldn’t help but add a 6th knowing that Kate’s playsuit was one of the original Ziggy Stardust outfits from David Bowie’s tour. She collected the Best Male award for David Bowie and made sure he got headlines by passing on his political message – ‘Stay With Us Scotland’. As Scotland are trying to set themselves up as a separate country to Great Britain, the 67 year old is sensible enough to use his time in the spotlight to give his opinion on it. It was really interesting to hear Kate speak as that hardly ever happens! Although I know she researched it to sound more posh as she doesn’t normally sound like that, trust me.

So what was your favourite outfit? What was your favourite moment? I think this is one of the Best Brits ever!

The winners are:

British Male Solo Artist – David Bowie

British Female Solo Artist – Ellie Goulding

British Group – Arctic Monkeys

British Breakthrough Act – Bastille

British Single – “Waiting All Night” by Rudimental ft. Ella Eyre

British Album Of The Year – AM by Arctic Monkeys

International Male Solo Artist – Bruno Mars

International Female Solo Artist – Lorde

Global Success – One Direction

Whether you’re looking for the comfort of a Classic for those blustery, cold days or a lighter, more agile shoe for the much anticipated Spring sunshine, Poppy can help guide you to a style that suits every occasion – come rain or shine!

Look 1: Rainy Days
Regardless of the season, where would we be without the much loved UGG Australia Classic Boot? Poppy shows us how to glamourise the wet British weather with these practical yet stylish all weather leather mini boots“I’m not going to pretend I like the rain, but at least with the water resistant finish to the Classic Leather Minis I don’t have to worry about wet feet! These boots are really cute come rain or shine throughout the year, but in this colder part of the season match them with a checked mohair coat – it’s the perfect wrap up for blustery days.”

Look 2: Clashing print and texture
Commenting on her love for clashing prints and texture, Poppy talks us through her decision to pair this Love Label animal print dress with these gorgeous UGG Australia Laela woven plimsolls; I love bold prints anyway but clashing print, colour and texture within one outfit is a really fashion-forward way to create a more unique look. The woven detail of the Laela Woven plimsolls helps soften the vibrant animal print to create an eye-catching yet chic daytime look’
Not forgetting the little ladies in our lives, Poppy also believes bright colours and bold patterns work on even the smallest of feet; ‘I’m forever playing dress up with my friends and their kids, they would love an attention grabbing pair like these Classic Leopard boots in bright fuchsia’.

Look 3: Soft Tailoring

Of course whatever the time of year our wardrobe wouldn’t be complete without a little something to take us through from day to night. Poppy tells us why these gorgeous UGG Australia Darling boots are the perfect style for special occasions or a girly night out.  “All girls like a bit of extra height when it comes to a night out and these UGG Darling boots have a great block heel for that added lift without worrying about towering over anyone or tripping up! Soft tailoring is a big trend but one of the easiest ways to bring a sleek outfit together is by matching subtle tones. Here I’ve opted for a golden vest to compliment the soft tan colour of the boots.”
