The clocks have gone forward, we’ve had at least one warm day and spring has sprung (kind of)! That can mean only one thing… Yes, that’s right: hayfever! It’s the bane of Very HQ’s existence and has resulted in more than one runny-eyed dash to the loos in order to fix our eye make up.
If you’re anything like us, then you’re probably thinking that, even though it is spring, the last thing you’d want in your house right now is flowers. Well, we have a solution that means you can spring-ify your home without reaching for the antihistamine – artificial flower arrangements!
Gone are the days of tatty, nasty artificial flowers. These are bold arrangements that look every bit as bright, colourful and gorgeous as the real thing. This vivid fuschia cyclamen plant, for instance will give your room a bold splash of colour in an instant – without the runny nose!
Some favourites of mine are this pink orchid, which will look beautiful in a bathroom (imagine it next to a pile of fluffy white towels), and the lilies, which would be stunning on a mantelpiece or in your hall. Or if you’d really like to let spring in, check out the quirky jug that comes complete with a pretty arrangement of spring flowers! It’d be beautiful as a centrepiece to your dinner table or would look gorgeous next to a sunny window. Plus it’s bang on-trend with vintage style!
So join me (and the rest of Very HQ) in laughing right in hayfever’s face and proclaiming that we will say it with flowers, and there’s nothing it can do to stop us!
