Get The Look: Off Duty Ballerina #verybeautytour

Looking for a perfectly polished look that looks just as good in the day as it does at night?

Well look no more Off Duty Ballerina is here to be your new go to look! The Very Beauty Team were lucky enough to go behind the scenes of a recent photo shoot and get all the insider info on how to create this gorgeous look.

For the perfet natural complexion start by applying a layer of Rimmel 25 Hour Nude Foundation. This foundation not only offers a total natural appearance on the skin, it doesn’t budge meaning you can go from day to night without having to worry. For anyone who still worries about shine try dusting over some Nyx Finishing Powder, its translucent so it show on your skin but it keeps you shine free for hours.

Moving onto the eyes, the MUA on the shoot used the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Eye Shadow Quad Plum Palette. The palette features 4 long wearing shadows that smooth, brighten and lift the look of your eyes with buildable, high pigmented colours. The MUA blended the pink shade all across the lid, placing the most colours closest to the lash and blending the colour out up towards the eye socket. Another great thing about this palette is that it’s compact enough to pop in your bag for touch ups on the go. For a super girly look lashes where applied to open up the eye and add subtle drama. Eylure Texture Lash 117 are perfect for this as they add depth to your lashes and give a romantic feel to the look.

For cheeks a subtle contour was applied, Bourjois Delice De Poudre Duo is perfect for this as the colour is buildable and contains both your bronzer and highlighter! *TOP TIP* To find where to apply your dark contour (bronzer) either bite your teeth together or suck you cheeks in apply your bronzer in the indents. Follow up by applying your highlighter to the tops of your cheek bones and the apples of your cheeks simply smile and apply.

Now on to the lips, to create the perfect nude shade lips where coloured in using a lip pencil and followed with a satin finish lipstick. Illamasqua Colouring Pencil in Fantasy followed by the new Illasmaqua Glamore Nude Lipstick in Cherub is the perfect combo for this look.

And now to the ever so simple but effective finishing touches. Using a paddle brush, brush hair into a pony tail, twist hair and wrap around bobble to create a loose bun securing with hair grips. *TOP TIP* For extra volume and texture lightly backcomb with a dressing brush sections of the hair whilst its in the pony before you twist!.

Last but by no means least the manicurist applied 2 coats of Nails Inc Eaton Terrace from the Nude Collection. Not only is this a fabulous neutral shade it contains a strengthening complex that helps your nails as you wear it. Treatment and colour…. We thought you could only dream of these things!

And there you have it Off Duty Ballerina in a few simple steps. Whether you’re having a girly lunch or an evening date this look lets you look perfectly polished in a natural way. What’s best is that it suits everyone!
