Very’s LFW Lingerie Show: #Fashfest Exclusive

If we want to look good in our clothes then we have to look good under our clothes. That means we need to say goodbye to VPL and bras that don’t support us and pick the right underwear.

Gorgeous lingerie gives us confidence. When we feel good and supported, we can hold our heads up high and be ready for anything life throws at us! With that in mind Very took part in Cosmopolitan magazine’s #Fashfest lingerie fashion show, which was a non-stop showcase of the prettiest lingerie pieces introduced by the magazine’s editor in chief, Louise Court.

Cosmopolitan magazine styled the show and picked a fantastic selection of cute pieces to get us out of our style ruts. I don’t think I’m the only person who has a lot of safe black and white underwear and not much colour?

So, who wants to have some inspiration about what’s out there? There were 8 different lingerie trends but I’ve picked the top 5 here otherwise it’s too confusing!

(1) Purple

Until now, I hadn’t considered purple as an option, but the dark colour looks so sophisticated, almost royal.

(2) Non-padded

I’m sometimes fearful of exposing what my breast size really is, in favour of a little bit of extra help to boost what nature gave me, but I’m changing my mind after seeing how lovely the Sorbet boutique lace non padded bras are. It would feel amazing next to your skin.

(3) Padded basques

This is the complete opposite of the non-padded look above because us ladies need something for all occasions, don’t we?Like it? It’s the Little Mistress animal jacquard padded basque

(4) White shorts

I realised I have a lot of thongs and not enough shorts. I don’t know why as there are of lovely white lingerie sets at Very like the Lepel white set.

(5) Embellished red

I never realised how many types of red lingerie there is! There are the obvious push up ones and thongs but I liked ones with extra embellishements of lace and unique strapping detail.

The evening was a celebration of all things boobs, which was why breast cancer charity Coppafeel had a booth at the event. Guests posed with giant boobs in a photo booth and then shared the pics on social media for Coppafeel’s bra hijack campaign. Bra hijacking is the term Coppafeel have given for inserting a message to ‘check your boobs’ inside every bra sold. Very’s sorbet boutique bras already have this message.

No celebration would be complete without a few drinks would it? Not only were there pretty pink Cosmopolitans, they were served by hot barmen!

Live music was provided by The Voice runner up Leah McFall, who will release an album with next year. Her voice is fantastic. I am surprised she didn’t win the talent show with her performance ability but I can tell her album will do well. Watch out for it in 2015.

So that’s a summary of the night. I felt very embarrassed of my underwear draw after seeing those. I wanted most things that came down the catwalk! Which one of the 5 looks was your favourite?
