Autumn is finally upon us and along with the falling leaves and darker nights comes all hallows eve, giving you plenty of reasons to deliver lots of tricks and even a few treats to your nearest and dearest. I know it’s still a few days away, but that doesn’t mean you can’t inject a touch of Halloween into your everyday wardrobe. Here’s my run down of the best spooky sisters and blood-curdling brothers offering some scream-worthy style tips.
Of course, I had to include Miss Addams. This girl was rocking goth before anyone thought it was cool, with her trademark plaits and unimpressed scowl. This South dress bears an uncanny resemblance to her signature style – team it with brogues and plenty of eye-rolling.
Following hot on her daughter’s heels is the oh-so glamorous Morticia – this lady knows how to do statement styles with plenty of gothic drama. Blood red lips and a fitted black dress can be teamed with lashings of mascara for instant Addams appeal.
I’m not recommending a tatty do and wild eyes, but his striped trousers are the perfect way to rock the monochrome trend. Team them with a chunky black knit and biker boots to give your look attitude faster than you can say Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice!
No one can rock head to toe leather like Edward, but it’s worth a shot. Leave the scissors at home and go for leather-look leggings, a charcoal tee and a leather jacket. Add chunky silver jewellery and biker boots to keep your toes toasty when you’re heading out in search of fun.
Tim Burton is the king of creepy and this The Nightmare Before Christmas character knows how to rattle a few bones. The androgynous look has been everywhere lately, do don your skinniest black jeans, then team with a loose blazer and a fitted white shirt as a salute to the pumpkin king.
Enjoy the season of scares! Love Aimee x
