The BAFTA awards don’t just happen on one night only – I’m happy to say that there is a whole week of celebrations! The night before the awards there’s a nominees party and then every film studio like Miramax, Sony and Warners have individual parties. However, it all starts off with the Bafta Rising Stars party, which celebrates the actors and actresses that have been nominated for the Rising Star Award (Margot Robbie, Shailene Woodley, Jack O’Connell, Miles Teller and Gugu Mbatha-Raw).
Every year, the stars flock to be involved with BAFTA so it draws way more celebs than those who are nominated. Interestingly, many of these celebrities arrived wearing black dresses. This meant Gone Girl actress Emily Ratajowski stood out in a yellow satin dress. Have a look at some of my photos from the night and you’ll see what I mean – it does show there are millions of ways to wear black!
She may have been on the catwalk since before some of the newer stars were born but Naomi Campbell proves she’s still got it. The hint of skin through her dress is the same effect you can get from the River Island panelled mini dress at Very.
Sheridan, who won a National TV award last week, dresses as good as she acts. When its cold outside it’s the perfect excuse to wear a maxi dress.
Gary Lineker is a lucky man to have someone as stylish as Danielle on his arm. Her black jumpsuit reminds me of the South cutout shoulder jumpsuit.
This is how to wear bodycon! It was cold outside but the Brit award nominee brought up the heat in this.
With everyone else in black. the Gone Girl actress and star of Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines raised the temperature in yellow. I’ve been pleasantly surprised looking at yellow dresses – they’re fun and they make you feel great!
What’s your favourite outfit? The BAFTAs ceremony is on 8 February, when we’ll find out who’s won what.
