The Oscars is always one of the biggest showbiz nights of the year, but for me it was extra special this time round. I was so happy to see British actor Eddie Redmayne win best actor! And not only that, there were a lot of British stars on the red carpet, showing that there’s just as much talent in the UK as there is in LA. Rita Ora, Keira Knightley and Eddie Redmayne’s co-star Felicity Jones all looked stunning.
I was going to do a top 10 roundup of my fave looks but it was impossible to pick just 10. So here are a selection of the looks I’m loving and I thought it was interesting that a lot have opted for dazzling golds, silvers and whites. It may be February but it’s time to make a bright arrival!
JLo looked like a Disney Princess, in a good way, in gold.
The silver dress really complimented Felicity’s skin tone and it’s less brash than gold for the demure Brit actress.
Keira Knightley and Lady Gaga
Since duetting with Tony Bennett, Gaga’s got more conservative with her dress sense.Meanwhile, supporting actress nominee Keira looks radiant in beige and gold.
Former Best Actress winner Marion Cotillard made sure everyone could see her arrive in her white evening dress.
Jennifer Aniston wan’t nominated but she looked like a winner in gold.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
I dpn’t know why John and Chrissy aren’t posing together – you’d have thought he’d have been proud to show off his wife looking as lovely as this.
Pale pink is a hard colour to wear but it seems to suit Gwyneth. What do you think?
The 50 Shades of Grey actress looked sophisticated in a red dress. It takes a confident woman to wear a dress that simple.
The E! TV presenter always looks like she should be winning an award and this year’s red dress was just spectacular.
Benedict’s wife may be pregnant but she’s not compromising on style. The red dress totally suited her.
It took me ages to recognise Rita in her black maxi dress. She should wear things like this more often.
What a colour! It’s like green and gold. Emma Stone had a unique outfit choice and stood out for the better.
