Monochrome Trend Rules Game Of Thrones TV Premiere

If you could pick any building in the world as the venue for the premiere of Game Of Thrones: Series 5, where would you pick?

The answer is The Tower of London, which was a refreshing change from going to Leicester Square for a premiere. Some of the fans even dressed up like characters from the show!

But the real focus was on the red carpet, where you got to see all the biggest stars in their most glam outfits (as opposed to practically naked like they are in the show). It was interesting to see there was a heavy monochrome trend going on among the leading ladies, which is a stark contrast to the fantasy style outfits they wear in the TV franchise. Gwendoline Christie looked especially amazing in a white dress with black trousers underneath, which suited her androgynous character on the TV show.

On the red carpet, she teased us about how incredible season 5 would be, saying ‘In season five we’re going to see certain characters come to the forefront and explode in your face.’

Meanwhile Sophie Turner went for a black and white dress. The bodycon part of the dress really suits her and the skirt looks more formal for a red carpet event – what do you think?

I think my fave outfit of the night was from Nathalie Emmnuel as you can’t really go wrong with a black jumpsuit, can you?

However, not everyone got the monochrome memo as Hannah Murray looked cute and girly in a black mini dress.

And let’s not forget the male eye candy. Alfie Allen has grown muscles, I think. He looked incredible in his suit.

I also liked Kit Harrington’s suit – yum!

Who do you think looked the best? The new series starts on Sky Atlantic next week. Enjoy! As Gwendoline said, there’s going to be some twists…
