Coachella has to be the world’s most glamorous festival. It’s in Palm Springs in America so the weather is always fine and because of that, the stars can wear what they want without fear they’ll get rained on.
Festival season starts in the UK in June with the Isle Of Wight on 9 June, followed by Glastonbury on 22 June, so it pays to take inspiration from Coachella and plan in advance. Even if it rains, you can wear something like what the celebs wore to Coachella as a base layer and sling a parka jacket or a waterproof over the top. Festival chic is all about layering!
Here’s a look at the stars who made the festival ground their mini catwalk and looked absolutely gorgeous:
Denim is a festival essential and Kylie looks gorgeous in her denim shorts and gladiator sandals. This is an outfit that not only looks cool, but is practical and this is important at a festival as you’re likely to be running round to see different bands and catch up with friends.
Suki also had a boho vibe going in a white kaftan. A kaftan is so comfortable for warm weather – it feels like you’re walking round in your nightshirt – but it looks stylish at the same time. If you’re likely to have a hard week partying, packing an oversized kaftan will make you feel super cosy.
The youngest of the Kardashian / Jenner sisters spent most of the festival in a bikini, but when she did wear clothes, she kept things simple with a loose black mini dress over a white t-shirt. You don’t have to go OTT with embellishments and super tight clothing at festivals. The more effortless you look the better.
Emma, who is Julia Roberts’ niece, looked super pretty in a denim dress – yet another star to be wearing denim! It fits her figure perfectly but it’s also easy to move in.
The supermodel went for a layered look, mixing denim shorts and a bikini with a loose, flowing kaftan. She looks bright and colourful without looking as if she’s tried too hard. A kaftan is as essential for festivals as denim shorts!
The star of the Blurred Lines video looked stunning! A maxi dress is perfect for festivals as it’s easy to wear and you don’t have to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions! Simply wear with sandals or boots and you have a practical but pretty look.
