Models and actresses like to party just like the rest of us! Some top British stars all got together for a fashion party in London this week and it was interesting to see their individual styles when they weren’t being dressed by a top designer or on a red carpet. It’s easy for them to get it right when someone else is picking their outfits, but how would they get on when they were left to their own devices?
The answer is that their experiences on the catwalks and in front of the cameras has been good practise and inspiration for choosing their everyday outfits. Because they get to wear the new trends first, they know what suits them and they adapt this for their day to day style. We may not have the same direct knowledge of the trends before anyone else, but by watching these celebs we can tell what it is. So let’s have a closer look at what the models and actresses wore as if we copy them we’ll have a head start on the trends:
Jourdan showed off her feminine side in a gorgeous peach coloured midi dress. The colour looks fantastic against her skin and the length is perfect for British Spring / Summer – it’s loose and flowing but it covers you up if the weather goes from hot to cold. Jourdan won Model of The Year at this year’s British Fashion Awards so she knows what she’s doing when it comes to fashion.
Not only is Daisy a successful model, but her mother Pearl Lowe models as well as singing so fashion runs in the genes. Daisy has always dressed with attitude and this striped dress with a striking biker jacket looks amazing on her. A biker jacket can transform any outfit into one that oozes confidence and attitude.
The Bond actress looked a world apart from her formally-dressed, severe Moneypenny character at the party. I loved her bodycon midi dress, which was a similar colour to Jourdan’s and ideal for this time of year. The shape of the dress is simple, which means the colour really stands out. What do you think?
The Game of Thrones actress looked a cool mix of feminine and fierce. The black bodycon dress is super girly, while the biker jacket is pure rock chick. I like this outfit as she looks pretty but you wouldn’t mess with her. At the party, I found out Natalie is running this year’s London Marathon so she is super strong – it will be her second London Marathon.
Rose, who also stars in Game of Thrones, went for a black dress as well but hers was more girly. A black lace midi dress looks almost vintage and Rose looked lovely in it, keeping her red hair loose and simple to emphasise the detail on the dress. I like lace dresses as they catch the eye and yet they’re really easy to wear.
Who do you think had the best off-duty style?
