There are festivals and then there’s the Glastonbury festival, which is Britain’s most famous and longest-running festival. It’s never just about the music as everyone that attends puts a lot of effort into their outfits. In fact, fashion is just as important as music.
The goal for Glastonbury is to combine fashion with a bit of practicality as there’s usually mud and rain to contend with. It’s inspiring as we see that nothing – not even the weather – needs to hold us back when it comes to looking good. Just look at these gorgeous celebs to see that it’s possible to dress to impress, whatever the external situation:
Ellie looked stunning in a blue shirt with denim shorts and short Hunter wellies. I always think shorts are essential for a festival as it’s easier to clean your legs than clean a pair of jeans. The shirt is super comfortable as it’s loose but the colour shows like she’s made an effort.
Laura is like a poster girl for the ideal festival outfit. She has the shorts, she has the mac, she has the sunglasses and she has the wellies. If the sun shone she could take off the mac and it’d be a completely different look. Well done, Laura!
Millie doesn’t look like she’s at a festival at all as she’s swapped wellies for Converse boots that she doesn’t mind getting muddy. It’s a risky look with the level of the mud at Glastonbury but black Converse and a leather jacket always work well together and the black skirt gives a feminine edge. What do you think?
Alexa looked ready for anything in denim shorts and a green hoodie. These are basic items but they fit her well so they don’t need to have any fancy embellishments. It looks good while it’s on and it’s easy to wash after it gets muddy so she can wear it to other festivals this summer.
A white vest top and blue skinny jeans always work and you can wear that combination anywhere – even Glastonbury it seems. If you’re going to wear jeans, skinny jeans are best as when they get wet they’ll still be as tight as ever, whereas looser jeans just get heavier.
Cara’s been to Glastonbury for the past 5 years so she’s a pro at knowing what to wear. She’s got the shorts, she’s got the Hunter wellies and she has a sturdy blue jacket. She looks really comfortable in this and that’s important because if you feel comfortable you’re ready to party!
Whose outfit did you like most? Are you going to any festivals this summer?
