Serpentine Gallery Party: Best Summer Dresses

The Serpentine Gallery summer party is one of the hottest tickets of the summer. Celebs beg, borrow or steal to get an invite because only the best celebs are at this event. When they get asked to attend the Serpentine’s summer party, it’s a sign they’ve made it. The night starts off outside in the grounds of Hyde Park and then moves inside with dancing inside the gallery until late.

However, the downside to attending exclusive parties is that there’s a lot of pressure to look good. Nobody wants to just show up, they want to look the best. However, it’s hard to pick one celeb from the stars that attended the summer party as many of them looked fantastic in their own individual way.

Let’s have a close look at some of the best dressed to help us make our minds up on summer party clothing:

Ellie Goulding

Ellie looked angelic in a white maxi dress. Normally she’s flashing the flesh in hotpants and a crop top, but she looked feminine, classy and slightly regal.

Kate Moss

Kate really stood out in a multicolour maxi dress. The supermodel doesn’t like to conform as she’d rather set the trends rather than follow them. If that’s the case then we all need multi colour maxi dresses this summer.

Fearne Cotton

The event was in Hyde Park and Fearne looked festival chic in her purple maxi dress. I like the halterneck top as it makes the shape of the dress more flattering and the belt detail highlights (and helps pull in) slim waists. Now shes’s not on the radio all the time, Fearne has more time to indulge in fashion and it shows.

Georgia May Jagger

Sequins aren’t just for Christmas! The sparkles in Georgia May’s sequin dress reflected the light and created cool shadows everywhere she walked. You can literally light up the dancefloor in a sequin dress and they really get you into a party mood.

Sienna Miller

Sienna kept things simple in a white maxi dress and it really works for her as it stands out for its simplicity. The colour flatters her skin tone and she just looks fresh and healthy. White is a lovely colour for summer as you just feel brighter and happier in it. Sometimes less really is more…

Naomi Campbell

Naomi also wore a sequin dress but she doesn’t do things by halves! Why were a mini dress when you can really make your presence known in a maxi dress? This is a fantastic dress for a prom or posh ball when you need to dress to impress. I’m certainly impressed by Naomi in this dress.

Laura Whitmore

Laura always looks lovely and she looked super pretty in a chiffon tea dress. At a summer party, a tea dress looks really classy. It’s especially good for warm weather as the loose fabric keeps you cool and it’s short sleeved so your arms can feel some breeze. This dress is ideal for weddings!

Donna Air

I know it’s not a dress but I think Donna looks pretty fabulous in a multi-colour jumpsuit. It’s something you need to wear with attitude as you are guaranteed to get noticed in this outfit.

Which outfit do you like most?
