The Wireless Festival is slightly different to other festivals because it takes place in London. This means that most people go home – or to a hotel – each night so there’s plenty of grooming time. Everywhere you look there are seriously stylish people and you can tell that everyone’s put real effort and thought into their festival look.
I think it’s great that this festival takes place at the start of July because it’s great inspiration for the rest of the festivals this month and in August. We’ve at least 6 weeks of live music gigs left! What we can see from Wireless is that if you plan in advance and wear lots of layers, you can cope with rain or shine and bring some glamour and attitude to the festival site.
Just look at these gorgeous celebs for inspiration:
Alesha looked¬†stunning in ripped black skinny jeans with a black biker jacket. The pink trainers add a playful edge. You can’t wear heels at a festival so you need to find other ways to have fun with footwear and Alesha gets it so right!
Laura looked super cool as she matched a girly tea dress and dainty ankle boots with a military style jacket. It’s like she’s saying she doesn’t need to be defined by one particular trend – she can do what she wants. Plus she’s warm and comfortable at the same time – what’s not to like?
Festival style is all about layering and former Pussycat Doll Ashley is a great example of this with her denim jacket over a simple black vest top. I love the black ankle boots too – these would help her strut through the festival site with confidence. What do you think?
Like Alesha, Lucy showed that a biker jacket can work at a festival. Lucy’s look was more girly as she wore hers with a red mini dress and ankle boots with a slight heel! This is a lovely look for the first day of a festival, as you arrive fresh and ready to party. If you look great on the first day, you’re more likely to feel fantastic for the whole time.
The X Factor winner may be new to the festival scene but she knows how to dress as she looked amazing in a multi-colour shirt dress. I love the tasseled gladiator sandals too. Watch out for more of Louisa towards the Autumn – she’s working hard on her music and developing her own unique image.
The Irish model / TV presenter and DJ wore pink trainers like Alesha – are we starting to see a trend here? Vogue’s also a great example of the layered look as she shows off her legs in some lovely black denim shorts but has a warm green military jacket for when the weather takes a turn. This look would see you from day to night and you would never have to stop partying, go back and find your tent and change and you’d be ready for anything in this look.
Which outfit can you see yourself wearing to a festival?
