The ITV Gala is the Christmas party for the TV presenters and reality TV stars that grace ITV and ITV Be. Held at the London Palladium Theatre, the stars are entertained, fed and watered and mingle with each other – just like at any other party, really.
With that comes dressing to impress as they know that when they look gorgeous, they feel even better. Also, the celebs know that people are going to be looking them and judging accordingly, so the pressure’s off when they look divine. If you want a promotion at work or you just want to impress someone you’ve been trying to approach for ages, then looking your best is a great start.
Do you have your party outfits sorted yet? Let’s have a look at what the celebs wore to this one for some inspiration. It looks like colour is the way forward with gorgeous golds and reds and some jumpsuits and trouser suits to add a cool edge to party fashion.
Holly sparkled in a gold dress that hugged her curves and made her look as bootylicious as Beyonce. If you can’t get away with gold and sequins at Christmas, when can you? It makes her look like she’s stepped off the red carpet at the Oscars – it’s seriously gorgeous!
The Big Brother and The Voice host showed that a jumpsuit can be as dramatic as a dress. Her black jumpsuit really suits her and it looks like she’s really comfortable. If you feel comfortable, you can hold your head high and really enjoy your night.
The Loose Women TV presenter really embraced colour with a stunning velvet blue maxi dress. The fabric is sumptuous, the colour is rich and it makes her look a million dollars. Jamelia did well, don’t you think?
Fearne always does things differently to the crowds, setting trends rather than following, and the ITV gala was no exception. She showed of her lovely legs in an animal print sequin mini dress embellished with sequins – talk about making a statement! This is a dress to wear if you really want to wow!
Laura looked every inch the ballroom dancing princess in a red maxi dress and looked stunning. Often, she wears a lot of mini dresses to show off her long legs, but since she’s started Strictly she realises the appeal of a maxi dress. It’s easier to wear for a ball or party than a mini dress as its flattering and you don’t need to worry about pulling it down. Maxi dresses also flare out as you move around the dancefloor, making you feel like the belle of the ball.
After starring in ITV Be reality show Love Island in the summer, Kady is trying to raise her profile and she certainly got people noticing her in a black lace maxi dress. It’s a bold dress but it definitely got her noticed and it does flatter her figure. Lace is lovely for the Christmas party season.
There were several TOWIE stars at the party, but Chloe stood out the most for wearing trouser suit and a white one at that. It takes power dressing to another level, especially as she’s scraped her hair back to look even more fierce. You wouldn’t mess with someone wearing this, so if you want to get taken seriously at a party this is a great option. It looks striking and is seriously stunning.
It’s so nice to see Michelle in something other than a dress! The actress and winner of Soap’s Sexiest TV star for many years in a row usually plays up to her feminine side, but this has changed since she started in solidier drama Our Girl. The monochrome trouser suit is such a fun look and she rocks it well with a big bouncy blowdry. This is a power suit and power hair now that she’s establishing herself as a serious actress.
Whose dress did you like the most?
